Opening Ceremony of Netherlands China Business Council Guangzhou Liaison Office

NCBC and CCPIT Guangzhou have set up a joint liaison office in Guangzhou to be in a better position to serve companies from both sides

In 2018 the leadership of CCPIT Guangzhou and the Board of Management of the Netherlands China Business Council agreed to set up a liaison office in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province with more than 20 million inhabitants. It is the core city of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the opening ceremony had to be postponed. On May 31st the official opening took place attended by more than 200 persons. The opening ceremony was attended by many officials to include Mr. Wu yang, Chief of Nansha District, Mr. Yang Yong, President of CCPIT Guangzhou, Mr. Zhang Yan, Vice President of CCPIT Guangzhou and Director of the NCBC-GZ liaison Office. Mr. Jochum Haakma, chairman of the NCBC, delivered a recorded speech.

The establishment of the office is intended to further explore cooperation opportunities and promote economic and trade exchanges between both sides by organizing business visits, seminars, information exchanges, matchmaking and other activities between companies from the Netherlands and Guangzhou.
